    • EuroVelo is a cycling network spanning the entire continent and more than a dozen countries. It runs from Russia, Finland, and Norway in the north, to the United Kingdom, France, and Hungary further south, and Spain, Montenegro, and Greece on the Mediterranean coast. EuroVelo appeals to both local cyclists and cycling tourists, with more than 45,000 kilometers (27,962 miles) of interconnected routes.
    • Bicycle transportation in Europe is most popular in the Netherlands (where 26% of journeys are taken by bike), Denmark (19%) and Germany (10%).
